Hi Everyone,
We're back with our first April challenge -- for this one, we challenge you to dust off that stamp set . . . you know, the one you absolutely had to have but somehow haven't managed to use yet . . . and finally make something fabulous with it!
We can't wait to see what you create. Be sure to come back and link up your creations so we can see them. One person will win a Picture This Clear Mount Stamp Set (one of the hostess sets from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog)!! You have until Wednesday, April 21st at 9pm PST to link up your creation, and then we'll pick a winner!
Here's what we've created to inspire you:
Jana pulled out Miniwagonbella, a stamp she HAD to have back in 2007 but never really got to use.
Michelle used Love Bugs, a Level 1 Hostess set she HAD to have right away when the 2009-2010 Idea Book came out last July. You can read more about her card, and the Summer Mini sneak peek items she used on it here:
Come on back and link up YOUR creation, we can't wait to see what you've done!

5th and Final Winter Olympics Challenge!!
Hello everyone, and welcome to our 5th and final Winter Card Olympics challenge here on I Dream of Stamping! This challenge is a TIME challenge. We are challenging you to make a card in 10 minutes (you get 15 if you have a handicap - such as a sleeping baby on your shoulder like Jana had!!) This is of course on the honor system, but we think you'll have fun seeing just what you can create in a time crunch!!
Have fun, and be sure to come back and link up your card using Mr. Linky so we can see what you've created, and you could win the Good Neighbor pack of paper that Jana used on her card!
Jane's card features Fairy Lily from the Enchanted Lily set from Pink Cat Studios. She used strips of various Sugar Rush (Basic Grey) designer paper over white Stamper's Select (Papertrey) cardstock. The punched edge is the ScallopTrim Border Punch (Stampin' Up). Pretty in Pink satin ribbon (SU) completes the card and accents the wavy border along the bottom of the second layer. Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU) can be seen sparkling on Lily's fairy wings.
Michelle's card uses the Stampin' Up! Sending Love Specialty Paper, with a greeting from the Good Egg set. She used several punches to create quick and easy focal images and embellishments.
Jana's card uses the Good Neighbor paper pack along with the Trendy Trees stamp set. She also used this week's SFYTT for her layout.

Challenge #4, Curling!
What is curling you say? To be honest, I have no idea how the Olympic Sport curling works, but for the Winter Card Olympics the curling challenge can be anyway you want to include curling on your card. You can curl paper, ribbon, whatever you want to do. Just be sure to include HOW you have used curling on your card in the description!
Michelle stamped and cut some flowers from the Vintage Vogue set (can you tell this is one of her very favorites?!), then curled the edges of the petals, first with her fingers, then more as she sponged some ink on the edges. There are also a few curls stamped by the Very Vintage wheel she used to create a background on the kraft layer of her card.
Jane curled some designer paper strips and made the curls into the tails of a bow. Just run thin strips of paper over closed scissors or twirl tightly around something long, thin, and round (like the needle part of a paper piercer). Do it slowly so as not to tear the paper or wrinkle it. If there are two layers to the paper, the bottom one might peel off, making it thinner and easier to work with.
And Jana decided to curl and scrunch some satin ribbon and make roses for her card which features another one of those adorable Pure Innocence girls!
We'd love to have you play along...so be sure to come back and link up your card here with Mr. Linky!
